For those people who have macs it's important to download an FTP tool that has a secure setting making it SFTP. I found Fugu to be helpful with my initial website planning. It serves the same purpose as the SSH tool for PCs.
Once the Fugu system is downloaded onto the mac, its important that the port is 22 and for my website I'm using the server myweb.usf.edu and the server name of alarrive. I've used Fugu about a year ago and found it difficult to use but keep in mind, they are constantly making updates to the product. Be sure to download the newest version.
I have yet to post anything, but am considering a language pathfinder and website.
